4. ASSEMBLY (WITH PIPELINE) [FIG. CII 1–4]
4.1 Preparing the hose shaft [Fig. CII 1]
1. Break the round cap
out of the hose box.
→ If necessary, use a screwdriver to help.
You have created the opening
for the pipeline connector
.
2. Insert the 120° connector
from the inside through the hole in the
hose box.
→ Make sure that the water stop tap connector
is oriented correctly (til-
ted slightly upwards to the right, as specied by the hose shaft
).
3. From the outside, screw the pipeline connector
onto the 120° con-
nector
.
4. Insert the pipe of your pipeline system completely into the pipeline con-
nector and close the connector.
5. Insert the hose shaft
without the hose module
into the hole.
→ Make sure that the hose shaft
is straight and its top edge is level with
the ground surface. Use a spirit level to check.
6. Apply water pressure to the pipeline system for approximately two minu-
tes to test the tightness of the connections.
4.2 Burying the hose shaft [Fig. CII 2]
→ See 3.2 Burying the hose shaft [Fig. CI 2].
→ If your pipeline is not laid at the correct depth, contact GARDENA Ser-
vice.
4.3 Inserting and connecting the hose module [Fig. CII 3]
1. Remove one of the two hose connectors
from the supplied connec-
tion hose
.
2. Shorten the connection hose
to 40 cm in length.
→ To do so, observe the picture on the inside of the packaging.
3. Screw the hose connector
back onto the shortened connection
hose
.
4. Insert the 90° connector
onto the water axle on the side of the hose
module
.
5. Insert the shortened connection hose
onto the 90° connector
on
the hose module
.
6. Remove the cover
, see 2.3.1 Removing the cover [Fig. B1].
7. Insert the hose module
into the hose box.
8. Connect the second end of the connection hose
to the water stop
tap connector
on the 120° connector
.
The valve in the water stop tap connector
opens and water can ow
into the hose.

5. OPERATION [FIG. D1–D5]
CAUTION!
Risk of scalding due to hot water from the hose.
The water in the hose may heat up in strong sunlight.
→ Carefully check the temperature of the water.
→ Do not spray people with the water.
5.1 Operating the cover [Fig. D1–D3]
CAUTION!
Risk of injury due to incorrect operation of the cover.
→ Close the cover
after each operation. There is a tripping hazard
due to the open cover
. There is a risk of injury due to the deep
hole.
→ Do not step on the open cover
.
→ Do not reach under the cover
when opening and closing. There
is a risk of injury from crushing between the hose guide
and the
hose box.
→ The closed cover
can be temporarily loaded with up to 150 kg.
5.1.1 Bringing the cover into the working position [Fig. D2]
To operate the hose box safely, bring the cover
to the working position:
1. Turn the latch to the left to unlock the cover
.
2. Lift the cover
by the handle as far as it will go.
3. Then let it slide down.
5.1.2 Closing the cover [Fig. D3]
1. Lift the cover
about 5 cm by the handle, even after you hear the cli-
cking sound.
2. Then let it slide down.
3. Turn the latch to the right to lock the cover
.
5.2 Using the hose box [Fig. D4–D5]
CAUTION!
Risk of injury due to automatic hose feed.
→ Keep children away from the hose feed.
→ Do not reach into the hose box while retracting or extending the
hose.
→ Keep ngers, hair, clothing and objects away from the hose and
feed compartment.
→ Do not allow the hose to be pulled in without supervision.
→ Do not hold the hose rmly when the hose is being fed in.
→ Do not pull the hose out if the hose module
is not tted in the
hose shaft
.
Tip: The hose box works best if you extend the hose in a straight line or a
maximum of 45° to the left or right.
→ Only operate the product when the cover
, hose module
and hose
guide
are fully inserted.
→ Only operate the product when the cover
is in the working position,
see 5.1.1 Bringing the cover into the working position [Fig. D2].
→ Do not extend or retract the hose if the hose module
is not secured
in the hose shaft
.
→ Before each operation, check whether there are any animals in the hose
shaft
.
5.2.1 Pulling out the hose [Fig. D4]
→ Pull out the hose to the desired length.
The hose box automatically snaps the hose into place.
5.2.2 Retracting the hose [Fig. D5]
→ Pull the hose out about 20 cm further.
The hose is retracted automatically.
→ To prevent injury, do not allow the hose to retract unsupervised.
Tip:
→ If the hose is not fully retracted into the box, pull it out a few metres and
let it retract.
6. MAINTENANCE [FIG. E1–E3]
6.1 Replenishing the soil [Fig. E1]
→ Always replenish any soil that falls o, especially in combination with a
robotic lawnmower.
6.2 Cleaning the hose box [Fig. E2]
→ Clean the hose box at least once a year.
1. Depressurise the system.
2. Remove the cover
from the hose box completely.
3. Disconnect the connection hose
from the water stop tap connec-
tor
of the 120° connector
or from your tap and the hose holder.
→ Remove the hose module
from the hose shaft
using the top of the
handle.
CAUTION!
Risk of injury due to unsecured hose module.
→ Only remove the hose module
when the hose is fully rolled up.
→ Do not pull out the hose if the hose module
is not secured in
the hose shaft
and the cover
is not in the working position,
see 5.1.1 Bringing the cover into the working position [Fig. D2].
4. Remove the hose guide
from the hose shaft
.
→ To do this, lift the hose guide
as far as it will go and let it drop back
slightly. The hose guide
can now be removed from the top.
5. The hose shaft
can then be cleaned. In particular, make sure that the
water drain slots in the lower area of the hose shaft
are free from dirt
etc.
6. Insert the hose guide
and the hose module
again, reconnect
the hose module
to the water and close the cover
(as described
above).
6.3 Cleaning the lter (with Pipeline) [Fig. E3]
1. Unscrew the water stop tap connector
from the 120° connector
.
2. Remove the lter
from the water stop tap connector
.
3. Hold the lter
under clean running water to clean it.
4. Place the lter
back in the water stop tap connector
.
6.4 Changing the hose
→ Do not open the hose module
by yourself.
