Warning –Batteries

•Remove the batteries from products that arenot being used for an extended period (unless these

arebeing kept ready for an emergency).

•Donot short-circuit batteries.

•Donot charge batteries.

•Donot burn batteries or heat them up.

•Never open, damage or swallow batteries or allow them to enter the environment. They can

contain toxic, environmentallyharmful heavy metals.

•Remove spent batteries from the product and dispose of them without delay.

•Avoid storing, charging andusing in extreme temperaturesand at extremely low

atmospheric pressures (such as at high altitudes).

•Ensurethat batteries with damaged housings do not comeinto contact with water.

•Keep batteries out of the reach of children.

4. Getting Started

Open the battery compartment cover,insert an AA battery observing the correct polarity and close the

battery compartment cover again.

5. Operation

5.1. Automatic time setting using the DCF signal

•After the battery is inserted, the alarm clock automaticallystarts to search for aDCF signal.

•After approx. 5-10 minutes (depending on how quickly theradio signal was received), the hands will

set themselves to the correct time.

5.2. Setting the time manually

•Ifthe correct time has not been set after approx. 10 minutes, this means the clock could not nd

aDCF signal.

•Press and hold the M.SET button to manually set thecorrect time. Release the M.SET buttononce

youhavereached therequiredtime.

•The clock automatically continues to searchfor the DCF signal on adaily basis. If the signal is

received successfully,the manuallyset time is overwritten.

•You may need to change the installation location andavoid areas with possible sources of interfer-

ence (cordless and mobile telephones, wireless speakers, etc.).

5.3. Starting manual reception

•Once the clock is running, press the REC button for 3seconds. This willset the hands to the12:00

position. Now the clock starts searching for the DCF signal.

•Ifnosignal has been received, the clock willshowthe time previously saved.
